DANIEL WILKIE

DIRECTOR – TAX COMPLIANCE

B Bus, CA, M Tax

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Daniel has over 15 years of experience providing taxation services to family groups, businesses and individuals.

For Daniel, tax compliance is about empowering people to take better control of their tax affairs. He empowers clients to manage their finances, by working together with them to find effective tax and accounting solutions.

Professional Background

For over 15 years Daniel has been providing tax compliance services to families, businesses, and individuals. On a personal level, Daniel has lived and worked abroad with his family. This personal experience helps ensure he has a hands-on understanding of what is involved in making an international move.

CST Tax Advisors Tax Compliance

Daniel is one of the Directors of tax compliance at CST Tax Advisors. His primary focus is on assisting clients who are looking to move abroad. This means understanding issues around residency, providing advice on selling or holding onto Australian investments, and identifying potential tax issues to be considered in regards to the country that the individual is moving to.

The combination of Daniel’s professional training and personal experience means that he is ideally suited to providing insights into the considerations that need to be made when deciding to move abroad.

Qualifications

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.

International Tax Specialist

Understanding international taxation requires a broad array of skills. This includes expertise in superannuation, employee share schemes, companies, and family trusts. Moving overseas is not just about individual taxes. Anyone who is a director, a primary shareholder, a director of a self-managed superannuation fund, or an investor, will need to consider a potentially complex array of issues. This is why Daniel specialises in an array of fields that are necessary to adequately prepare people for an overseas move.

Personal Background

In his personal life Daniel enjoys spending time with his family. He has three sons whom he loves playing sport with as well as watching them excel on the sporting field. When he has time, he is consolidating his French language skills.

I enjoy finding effective tax and accounting solutions for clients that empower them to take better control of their tax affairs.
